Probability Guide
Dice probability guide.
Dice are a simple way to understand probability because every face has an equal chance on a fair die, but totals can have very different chances.
One die
On a standard six-sided die, each face has a 1 in 6 chance. Over many rolls, each face should appear close to 16.67% of the time.
Two dice
With two dice, totals are not equally likely. A total of 7 is common because it can be made many ways. A total of 2 or 12 is rare because each has only one combination.
